About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an Procurement Officer to join the team of Finance – Purchase in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and Helping Purchasing manager to managing vendors and run the operation.

The key duties of Procurement Officer will include:

• Preparing and processing purchase orders and documents to maintain accurate records.
• Maintaining purchasing records and pricing in the system to ensure the system is kept up to date. 
• Sourcing, selecting and negotiating with suppliers in order to obtain the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services.
• Working with HODs to establish fair, workable issue hours and see that the hours are enforced.
• Presenting when the supply arrives and supervise the delivery items.
• Handling urgent purchase request and try to get by speed boat to ensure that purchase request log is properly maintained, and place order.
• Following up pending Purchase Request/ order and advice status to concerned HOD.
• Attention for discrepancies between quotation and delivered prices on the invoice and clarify the suppliers.
• Checking all items on all purchase orders, receiving records and suppliers’ invoices.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

• At least 2 years of experience, within a luxury 5-star environment is desirable. 
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
• Have a strong eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of service.
• Must be Computer literate, Micros with good MS Excel skills.
